Alexandra Klemann Joins Dystonia Europe Board

Dystonia Europe is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexandra Klemann as the newest member of its Board. Alexandra represents our member organisation Dystonie-und-Du (DyD) and brings with her a wealth of personal experience, professional expertise, and dedication to the community.

Based in Berlin, Alexandra is mother of a 12-year-old son and a proud cat owner. She currently serves as the group leader of the Europe-wide Myoclonus-Dystonia (MD) Group, where she plays an active role in connecting and supporting individuals affected by the condition across the continent.

Alexandra studied business informatics and works for an American company, giving her extensive experience in international collaboration and communication in English. Alongside her professional career, she has lived with myoclonus-dystonia since childhood and has first-hand experience as a Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) recipient. Her lived experience provides a valuable and empathetic perspective that will strengthen the work of the Board.

Dystonia Europe warmly welcomes Alexandra and looks forward to her contributions in advancing awareness, advocacy, and support for people living with dystonia.
